Barstool Open 2025: The Return of a Shelbyville Favorite
After a few years off, one of Shelbyville’s most beloved events made its grand return—and it did not disappoint! The Barstool Open was back on March 1, bringing a mix of mini-golf, local businesses, and big community spirit to the heart of town.
A Classic Event, Revived
Last held in 2019, the Barstool Open has always been a community favorite, and this year proved why. Teams came out in full force, putters in hand and costumes on point, ready to tackle the most creative (and sometimes comically frustrating) mini-golf holes in town. Local bars and restaurants transformed into nine-hole courses, each bringing their own flair to the challenge.
Highlights from the Day
🏆 Top Team: Team Ton Ton proved their skills and took home the trophy!
🎭 Best Dressed: The Beer Wedges, The Mighty Morphin Putter Rangers, and The Scramblers all turned heads with their unforgettable outfits.
⛳ Best Decorated Hole: Chelsey's Kandy Shop & Boehm Construction built the player-favorite hole!
A Huge Thanks to Our Hosts & Players
We couldn’t have asked for a better crowd to bring this event back to life. A huge thank you to the local businesses that hosted holes, the teams who showed up ready to play, and The Takeoff for throwing an unforgettable afterparty.
If you missed it this year, don’t worry—the Barstool Open is back for good. Until next time, keep that putter handy… you never know when the next round will be!
